EU Residency Family Inclusion Citizenship Pathway

Residency Pathways for Mobility, Planning, and Future Flexibility

Residency by investment is often the right choice for clients who want optionality without immediately pursuing direct citizenship. These routes are frequently chosen for European access, family planning, lifestyle diversification, or establishing a platform that creates future choices — including eventual citizenship eligibility.

The right programme depends on what residency means in practice for your situation. Some clients need maximum flexibility with minimal stay requirements. Others are comfortable with a more substantive presence if the long-term return — EU mobility, quality of life, education access — justifies it.

Residency is a starting point, not just an outcome

For many clients, the most valuable aspect of a residency programme is what it makes possible in the future — EU citizenship eligibility, access to healthcare and education systems, or the ability to relocate when circumstances change.

We help clients think through both the immediate value and the long-term potential of each route — so the programme they choose serves their life over years, not just at the point of application.

Pathway to Citizenship

Many residency programmes create a clear path to full citizenship. Portugal offers EU citizenship after 5 years. Greece after 7 years of genuine residency. This long-term optionality makes residency a powerful first step.

Family Lifestyle Planning

Residency programmes allow spouses and dependent children to be included — accessing local education systems, healthcare, and quality of life that would otherwise require separate visa applications.

The Residency Application Process

Residency by investment applications are more documentation-intensive than citizenship routes but follow a well-established process with Titan Global Immigration's support.

1
Programme Selection and Planning

We assess your objectives, budget, family profile, and minimum stay tolerance to recommend the most appropriate residency route.

2
Document Preparation

We guide you through full document preparation — including bank account opening, NIF/tax number registration, health insurance, and criminal record clearance.

3
Investment Execution

Your qualifying investment (fund subscription, property purchase, or other approved structure) is completed, and your pre-application is filed with the relevant government authority.

4
Biometrics and Approval

You attend an in-person biometric appointment (required for most EU programmes), after which the application enters formal review and residency cards are issued on approval.

Compare Residency Options With More Context

Our advisors help you compare residency programmes with a sharper focus on practical use, long-term fit, investment structure, and family eligibility — so you choose the right route first time.

Residency by Investment FAQs

01

Does residency automatically lead to citizenship?

Not automatically. Some programmes create a pathway to citizenship over time — for example, Portugal after 5 years of qualifying residency. But eligibility depends on local rules, language requirements, and whether the residency has been properly maintained.
02

How much time do I need to spend in the country?

Minimum stay requirements vary significantly. Portugal requires just 14 days per two-year renewal period. Greece has no minimum stay requirement. UAE residency requires a visit at least every 180 days to maintain status. We compare these requirements clearly for each programme.
03

Can I live and work in the country with a residency permit?

Yes, in most cases. Most residency by investment programmes grant the right to live and work in the host country. EU residency also grants the right to travel freely within the Schengen Area.
04

What investment types are available?

Real estate, private funds, venture capital, government bonds, and business activity are among the most common structures. Available options vary by jurisdiction and are frequently updated — current programme rules should always be confirmed with an advisor.
05

Are there tax implications of holding residency in another country?

Potentially, yes. If you spend sufficient time in the country, you may become tax resident there — which has implications for your global tax position. We strongly recommend taking independent tax advice before selecting a programme, particularly if you are considering Portugal, Greece, or UAE.
